Meet the Team

Collectively, Terry & Katy bring together a variety of resuscitation experiences–in and out of the hospital setting.

Terry Butler, Firefighter
Co-Owner/Instructor

Terry Butler has been a firefighter since 2006. He became a certified Emergency Medical Technician in 1997.  As a former D1 football player, he appreciates all aspects of hard work, training, and learning, with the mindset of always finding room for improvement no matter what he is doing.  With almost two decades of experience as a Firefighter/EMT, he has performed CPR on hundreds of patients. Terry is passionate about community involvement and believes that those trained in CPR would contribute to the betterment of society by having the ability to help others.

Katy has 18+ years of experience in cardiac telemetry nursing in a Bay Area hospital and is Board Certified in Cardiac Vascular Nursing. A former D1 collegiate soccer player and huge supporter of youth athletic competition, she enjoys her role as assistant coach for her daughter’s competitive soccer team. Her experiences as a nurse, athlete, and coach have collectively fueled her passion for the importance of empowering as many community members as possible with the knowledge and skills required to effectively respond to a medical emergency.
